On June 21, 2011, with the assistance of Magento Inc. and some official Magento partners, aheadWorks Co. held the very first Meet Magento Belarus.
100+ participants were present at the Johannes Rau International Centre for Education and Exchange where the conference was held. The representatives of 38 companies from Belarus, Russia, the Ukraine, and Latvia traveled to Minsk to attend the event.
The speakers from the Ukraine and Belarus covered a wide range of topics including such trendy directions as Magento Mobile, agile methods, building development environment for Magento, social networking and the future of the eCommerce software platform.
The Magneto enthusiasm was contagious, spreading to students, experienced developers, marketers, and shopkeepers. Everyone had a great opportunity to develop their expertise, exchange opinions about Magento, share their experience, and discover new business partners.
The importance of promoting and supporting the Magento movement in the local community was evident throughout the event and even in the comments of participants.
