visitors from over 15 countries travel to London to experience the
first ever UK event. Taking place at the end of April over
three days within the larger Internet World 2009 exhibition, Mage::Camp
featured a range of seminars and opportunities to network with Magento
professionals from all over the world.
The event also featured the ?Magento Pavilion? which was used as a hub for attendees. It was also the home for On Tap, Visions New Media, Docdata Systems and Zend who exhibited their products and services. The Pavilion was extremely busy, buoyed by the many thousands of attendees to Internet World 2009.
The organizers of the event, On Tap, also streamed video live over the Internet where hundreds of viewers across the world tuned in to see the array of speakers talk about Magento. Seminars covered all aspects of Magento, including case studies, Magento administration, performance, extension development as well as showcases of the new Magento Enterprise Edition and the future direction of Magento. On-demand videos of the seminars will be available this week to view at the mage::camp web site.
Varien was represented by Roy Rubin, Yoav Kutner who both presented seminars and Amit Shah. As Magento Enterprise Partners, On Tap felt it was our duty to organize a big event that did justice to Magento. We have been astonished by the fantastic support that Mage::Camp has received. It was not easy to organise a three day event, but our hard work was definitely rewarded. We are already planning the next event!
We were also very impressed with the interest that the new Magento Enterprise Edition has generated. Many visitors to the event came specifically to ?kick the tyres? and find out more about this exciting development.
