We’ve gotten some really good response from Community Members who’ve expressed interest in guest blogging for Magento, so we've written up some general guidelines to assist you.
Article Topics
We’re open to articles on all Magento related topics. The following list is just a small example. There may be additional guidelines depending on your subject, so be sure to drop me a line to let me know what you’d like to write about!
· Installation
· Implementations
· Store Set Up/Management
· Themes and Designs
· Development
· Walk-Throughs or How-Tos
· Magento Mobile
· Magento Connect Extensions
Remember, our blog has a very diverse audience! We’re looking for bloggers who tap into interesting aspects of Magento that are not over-covered.
Use of Images
Images must not be larger than 640x480
You must have permission to use an image, or at least use one where there is no copyright issue. Proper attribution is required.
Length of Blog
Typically, guest blogs can be of any length as long as they clearly communicates your message. We recommend a minimum of 500 words. Keep in mind, when writing – less is often MORE.
Links
We will allow links in your articles if they are relevant to the topic you’re writing about, however we would like you to cite your sources when quoting information from other sites.
Bio/Author’s Box
We will promote your approved submission by adding an Author’s box at footer of your article.
This box should include a name, short bio, link to blog, twitter, and/or main website.
A Note about Duplicate Articles
If you’ve written an article for another website, please do not submit the same article to us. We are looking for exclusive original work only.
Editing Potential Submissions
To err is human! We reserve the right to edit posts submitted to Magento before being published. We have no plans to re-write your material, but we may need to make spelling, grammar or formatting changes.
