What a Party!
The Magento HQ was buzzing with Hollywood glitz, it was the Oscars on red carpet, rather orange, for the eCommerce ecosystem and our first annual Open House Extravaganza! There were more than 350 guests in all who were happily catered by 25 event assistants. The community in large was full of mixed attendees: merchants, developers, partners, Magento evangelists, enthusiasts and curious onlookers, who were attending to find out more about Magento .
The chilly breeze from the Pacific Ocean did not phase the crowd as people joyously mingled under the tents outside of our offices. As groups huddled around the heat gas lamps, eCommerce was the topic for the whole night. Business cards were flying back and forth between attendees - it was lots of fun with a little business and networking mixed in.
All attendees were given a badge, a menu and stack of Magento Bucks. The Magento Bucks was a nice surprise to everyone. Attendees thoroughly enjoyed purchasing drinks and food with it. Some even suggested paying part of their Magento Enterprise license fees with Magento Bucks. I'm not sure if Keren, our CFO, would agree to that. We'll get back to you about it . 
Keeping up with the spirit and latest trend of gourmet Food Truck craze- we invited top vendors to surround our headquarters. Long lines were formed around In 'N Out Burgers, FishLips Sushi, No Tomatoes Truck, Grilled Cheese Station, Coolhaus Ice Cream and Big Swirl Frozen Yogurt. Beer and Magento Martinis were the favorite drinks from the bar for the night.
