(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Specializing in reseller hosting, UK web host, Heart Internet (www.heartinternet.co.uk), has announced the launch of its white label iPhone control panel for resellers, letting its resellers use their iPhone to manage client's domain names and all their web hosting accounts, including adding brand new hosting accounts.

According to Heart Internet's announcement, its iPhone control panel also lets resellers view system status updates and keep control of expenses by accessing their invoices, as well as access webmail, view analytics data, and backup and restore websites. Heart Internet resellers can also give their clients the ability to manage their own web hosting accounts through their iPhone using a white label and customisable control panel.

"We have always prided ourselves on being at the forefront of reseller hosting technology providing our customers with flexible white label products." Said Heart Internet director Jonathan Brealey "Our iPhone control panel provides resellers and their clients with the latest technology whilst ensuring our resellers maintain a coherent brand and Heart Internet is never exposed to their clients."

The Reseller iPhone control panel is free with all Heart Internet reseller hosting accounts.

Just as the iPhone has proven a very useful accessory for web hosting customers, it has also given rise to opportunities for web hosts to attract customers by making their services more attractive whether for controlling physical servers, cloud infrastructure or somewhere in between.

In March 2009, Chicago-based managed web hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) released a robust and feature rich remote web hosting control panel for the iPhone that lets dedicated server customers access administration functions on-the-go. SingleHop.mobi lets customers reboot servers, view bandwidth charts, submit standard and priority tickets, manage billing and view other server details.

Also in 2009, Rochester, New York-based Direct Thought (www.directthought.com) started development on an iPhone console application that monitors and controls a user's Amazon Web Services' (aws.amazon.com) EC2 environment from their phone, giving administrators access and control of their EC2 instances and volumes, as well as having control over snapshots, addresses and keypairs, all from the touch screen of their cell phone.
