According to its Thursday announcement, Go Daddy is planning to hire approximately 60 people in the next eight weeks for its 50,000-square-foot Iowa customer care center, with plans to expand its workforce over a period of months to eventually fill the new building.
Go Daddy currently serves more than 7.5 million customers worldwide, and operates customer care facilities in Arizona, including those at its corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, and nearby Tempe and Gilbert, all within the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Building the facility in the Mid-West, what is called "America's Heartland," was a natural decision given that Go Daddy has operated an office in Cedar Rapids for nearly nine years already.
"Iowa is a great place from which to recruit quality people," Go Daddy customer care vice president Miguel Lopez said in a statement. "We expect to begin advertising the new open positions next month."
Go Daddy does not outsource or offshore any of its more than 1,500 customer care positions to ensure that its customer support is the most responsive it can be.
Go Daddy also has offices in Denver, Colorado, and Washington, D.C. Over the course of 2009, Go Daddy expanded its Arizona facilities and opened a data center in the Netherlands.
